PV GAS among the Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam

To professionally produce the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam 2024" list, companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HSX) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) underwent several evaluation stages by Forbes Vietnam. In the initial round, they were shortlisted by meeting criteria including profitability in 2023, with minimum revenue and market capitalization of VND 500B. In subsequent stages, they were assessed on five quantitative criteria: compound revenue growth rate, profit, ROE, ROC, and EPS growth from 2019 to 2023.

Forbes Vietnam also conducts qualitative assessments to evaluate sustainable business development, considering factors such as industry position, profit sources, quality of corporate governance, and industry prospects. The list benefits from quantitative calculations provided by Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HSC). The market capitalization cutoff date was May 30, 2024, with financial data based on audited consolidated financial statements for 2023.

Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) had five units listed in the Top 50 Best Listed Companies in Vietnam 2024, including PV GAS (stock code: GAS); Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC, stock code: PVS); Petrovietnam Insurance Corporation (stock code: PVI); Petrovietnam Transportation Corporation (stock code: PVT); and Petrovietnam Power Corporation (stock code: POW).

PV GAS, listed as GAS, achieved impressive revenue and profit in 2023 to secure its 12th consecutive year on the Top 50, in face of significant challenges in the market and supply. As of December 29, 2023, PV GAS reached a market capitalization of VND 173,404B. Moreover, the Corporation recorded ROA and ROE ratios of over 13% and 18%, respectively, with a high cash dividend distribution at a payout ratio of 60% of charter capital in 2023.

Forbes Vietnam plans to host the award ceremony honoring the Top 50 listed companies on August 22, 2024, at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
