The PV GAS Women’s Affairs Committee gives away nearly 400 Ao Dai in the beloved March

Along with activities to celebrate International Women's Day, in March 2023, the Women’s Affairs Committee of PV GAS Trade Union launched a program of "Giving away Ao Dai, sending love, and preserving traditional beauty".

Beautiful Ao Dai has been washed, ironed, folded in plastic bags, and clearly marked with the size, even the height - weight - measurements of the donors to be sent to the right teachers who would get gifts. If every female white- collar worker has a few or even a collection of Ao Dai for each season and outfit situation, the Ao Dai is a precious gift, which is welcomed by teachers in remote areas, amid the context of still facing many difficulties and shortages. Understanding those things, Mrs. Hong Ha - Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee of PV GAS Trade Union affirmed: "The call from the program of "Giving away Ao Dai, sending love, and preserving traditional beauty" directed PV GAS Trade Union’s members toward the deep and warm feminine sympathy. We chose to give away Ao Dai instead of sending money, precisely because of the desire to connect women's arms, to integrate the members into the compassionate social movement, to share the love of the national dress, and to promote PV GAS Culture".

Nearly 400 sets of Ao Dai had been beautifully packed, gathered and sent to the beloved addresses. From the units, the images of members who had received, gathered and delivered very meaningful and happy gifts, were also shared, creating the whole beloved March. There was also special coordination between the Trade Unions of Petrovietnam Gas Ca Mau Company and PV GAS Executive Office. To have a sufficient number of Ao Dai for teachers with financial difficulty in Ca Mau Province, the two grassroots trade unions decided to donate with each other to have the opportunity to strengthen the bond between them.

It is known that the number of Ao Dai from PV GAS has been mixed with nearly 3,000 sets of Ao Dai from other women in the whole oil and gas industry to be sent to remote areas.
