The management system of Safety, Health and Environment
To carry out the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Strategic Objectives of the Corporation, PV GAS establishes and maintains an integrated Safety – Quality – Environment management system in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
Building the integrated management system
1999
First Safety – Health – Environment Policy
With the support of consultant Foster Wheeler, PV GAS issued the first version of its Safety – Health – Environment Policy.
2003
Building the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 systems
PV GAS decided to build and apply the OHSAS 18001:1999 occupational health and safety system together with the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.
2004
Certified by TÜV RHEINLAND
TÜV RHEINLAND, a leading German management-system certification body, assessed and certified PV GAS’s quality management system to ISO 9001:2000 and its occupational health and safety management system to the international standard OHSAS 18001:1999.
2009
Adding ISO 14001 environmental management
PV GAS added an ISO 14001:2005 environmental management system to control and reduce environmental impact, laying the groundwork for sustainable development. It was then integrated with OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 9001:2000 into the integrated Safety – Quality – Environment management system.
Now
Maintained and continually updated
The OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 (No. OHS 547332), ISO 14001 (No. EMS 547230) and ISO 9001 (No. FM 547229) certificates are always updated to the latest versions, periodically assessed and maintained by reputable certification bodies. They also reflect PV GAS’s care for workers’ safety and health, its responsibility to the community for environmental protection, and its commitment to the rising expectations of stakeholders on quality, products and services.
PV GAS applies the “Three Lines” model to oversee and run risk management, identifying factors that may affect the Corporation’s mission, vision and strategic objectives, and taking measures to reduce threats and seize opportunities.
Risk management is integrated into all of the Corporation’s production and business activities, carried out systematically and proactively to identify, assess and monitor risk across every aspect of PV GAS’s operations.
Process Safety Management system
2020
Gap assessment
PV GAS engaged a consultant to benchmark the existing Safety – Quality – Environment systems of the companies operating gas facilities against the requirements of a Process Safety Management system.
2021
Implementation under CCPS guidance
Based on the assessment, PV GAS built a Process Safety Management system following guidance from CCPS (The Center for Chemical Process Safety) for the gathering, transportation, processing, storage, distribution and trading of gas products and related services at operating units.
