Gas Gathering

Gas Gathering
Through its affiliated units and subsidiaries, PV GAS carries out gas gathering operations nationwide and is gradually participating in international gas gathering and gas purchase projects.

The Southeast Transmission Company (KĐN) is currently responsible for operating the pipeline system from oil and gas fields in the Cuu Long Basin, as well as receiving gas from the Nam Con Son gas system operated by the Nam Con Son Pipeline Company (in which PV GAS holds a controlling stake), to distribute to end users. These consumers include power plants in Ba Ria and Phu My (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), Nhon Trach (Dong Nai Province), and Hiep Phuoc (Ho Chi Minh City), the Phu My Fertilizer Plant, and other plants within industrial zones across the Southeast region. In addition, the Company operates the gas gathering system from the Thai Binh field to Tien Hai Industrial Park, supplying gas directly to industrial park clients and transporting it via tank trucks to customers in neighboring provinces across Northern Vietnam. These represent crucial initial steps for PV GAS in developing the gas consumption market in the North.

The Ca Mau Gas Company operates the gas pipeline system from Blocks PM3-CAA and 46 Cai Nuoc in the Commercial Arrangement Area, supplying gas to power plants in the Southwest region, the Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant, and the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant, as well as providing liquefied gas for civil and industrial use and feedstock for gasoline blending.

PV GAS is actively coordinating with relevant partners (PVN, PVEP, VSP, Cuu Long JOC, Idemitsu, Rosneft, etc.) to complete and commission gas and liquid product gathering and onshore transmission projects, such as: the gas gathering project for the Phong Lan Dai fields (in 2018), Ca Rong Do (in 2019), Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet and Su Tu Trang – Phase 2 (in 2020), Kinh Ngu Trang (in 2021), and the Block B – O Mon gas pipeline (in 2022)...

Following preliminary research, surveys, and feasibility assessments regarding gas industry development across the Central provinces—in alignment with the Master Plan for Vietnam's Gas Industry Development to 2025, with orientations to 2035 approved by the Prime Minister in early 2017—PV GAS is preparing to implement the investment project for the Gas Gathering System from Bao Vang and Bao Den fields (Blocks 112 - 113 in the Song Hong Basin). This involves transporting, processing, and distributing gas to power plants and other industrial consumers in Quang Tri and adjacent areas. Furthermore, PV GAS is actively participating in the value chain of the Ca Voi Xanh (Blue Whale) gas system (Blocks 115 - 119) to deliver gas to Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces. Notably, PV GAS will leverage its established experience in developing low-pressure gas pipeline networks and CNG tank truck distribution fleets to deliver gas directly to industrial production facilities throughout the Central region.
