Gas Transportation and Distribution

Currently, PV GAS's gas transportation pipeline systems include:
1. Cuu Long Gas Transportation and Distribution System
Gas from the fields is gathered at the Central Compressor Platform (CCP) and compressed at high pressure for transport through subsea pipelines to the landfall station at Long Hai, then routed to the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant (GPP) for processing. Dry gas (output) from GPP is transported via pipelines to Ba Ria and Phu My for distribution to end users. In addition to receiving associated gas from the Bach Ho gas system, the Phu My Gas Distribution Center also receives gas from the Nam Con Son gas system for distribution to customers.
a. Su Tu Vang – Rang Dong – Bach Ho – Long Hai – Dinh Co Associated Gas Pipeline The Bach Ho – Long Hai – Dinh Co gas pipeline (116.5 km) was commissioned in 1995 to transport associated gas from the Central Compressor Platform (CCP) at the Bach Ho field to the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant. The pipeline is designed with a capacity of 6 million m³/day to serve gas transportation from oil fields. The 46.5 km Rang Dong – Bach Ho gas pipeline was commissioned in December 2001 to transport associated gas from Block 15.2 to CCP. The 16” Su Tu Vang – Rang Dong gas pipeline, with a total length of 43.5 km, was commissioned in 2009 to transport associated gas gathered from Block 15.1 to CCP.
b. Dinh Co – Ba Ria – Phu My Gas Pipeline The 16”, 7.3 km Dinh Co – Ba Ria gas pipeline and the 21.5 km Ba Ria – Phu My pipeline are responsible for transporting dry gas from the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant outlet to gas distribution stations for delivery to end users.
c. Ba Ria and Phu My Gas Distribution Stations (GDS) Built and commissioned alongside the Bach Ho – Dinh Co – Ba Ria – Phu My gas pipeline, the Ba Ria and Phu My gas distribution stations are responsible for distributing gas to the Ba Ria Power Plant and Cuu Long gas consumers in the Phu My area.
d. Dinh Co – Thi Vai Liquid Products Pipeline The Dinh Co – Thi Vai liquid products pipeline system, comprising three 6” pipelines from Dinh Co to the Thi Vai Terminal, was put into operation in 1998 to transport liquid products including Bupro (a mixture of Butane and Propane) and Condensate from the Dinh Co GPP outlet to the Thi Vai Terminal for storage and customer delivery.
2. Nam Con Son Gas Transportation and Distribution System
a. Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline The Nam Con Son gas pipeline was commissioned in 2003 to transport natural gas from Blocks 06.1, 11.2, and 12W to the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant (NCST) for processing. Dry gas at the NCST outlet is transported via pipeline to the Phu My Gas Distribution Center (GDC) to supply consumers in the Phu My area. Currently, the maximum capacity of the Nam Con Son gas system is 20 million m³/day.
b. Phu My Gas Distribution Center The Phu My Gas Distribution Center was constructed over an area of 10 hectares in Phu My, adjacent to the Phu My Gas Distribution Station under the Cuu Long gas system. In addition to receiving and distributing Nam Con Son gas to consumers, the Phu My GDC also functions to regulate and balance gas flows between the Nam Con Son and Cuu Long gas sources.
c. Phu My – Nhon Trach – Hiep Phuoc Gas Pipeline The Phu My – Nhon Trach – Hiep Phuoc gas pipeline, with a total length of 71.1 km, was commissioned in 2008 to transport part of the Nam Con Son gas to the Nhon Trach Gas Distribution Station (Dong Nai) and Hiep Phuoc (Ho Chi Minh City) to supply power plants and industrial parks along the pipeline route. It also serves to develop future gas consumer markets in Ho Chi Minh City and connect the gas networks of the Southeastern and Southwestern regions.
3. PM3 – Ca Mau Gas Transportation and Distribution System
Operational since 2007, the PM3 – Ca Mau gas transportation system features a 330 km pipeline with a capacity of 2 billion m³/year, consisting of a 300 km offshore pipeline transporting gas produced from the PM3-CAA and Block 46 Cai Nuoc fields, and a 30 km onshore pipeline delivering gas to the Ca Mau Gas Distribution Center. The Ca Mau Gas Distribution Center is responsible for receiving gas from the PM3 and Block 46 Cai Nuoc gas systems to distribute to key end users: Ca Mau 1 Power Plant, Ca Mau 2 Power Plant, and Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant.
